Bordeaux is a community in the South-West of France, a prefecture of the Gironde department and the new Aquitaine region. Its population exceeds 900,000 inhabitants. The sea climate of the Gironde is characterised in Bordeaux by very mild winters and hot summers. Rainfall is frequent and spread throughout the year.
It is famous throughout the world since the 13th Century for it’s Bordeaux wines and Bordeaux vineyards.
Bordeaux and the Port de la Lune are listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites; this is a city with lots to discover! The influx of visitors and inhabitants – greater each year, testifies to its numerous attractions.
Bordeaux is the 6th largest French University City and hosts 77,216 students in its universities and colleges. Most of the teaching is done in the university area of Pessac Talence Gradignan, the largest campus in Europe.
