The capital of the Occitanie region of France, Toulouse has about 470,000 inhabitants. Toulouse considered a dynamic city, a leader of industries and a melting pot for powerful technologies. Sometimes known to locals as La Ville Rose (the Pink City) after the distinctive pink stone used in the construction of many of its buildings.
Toulouse is a pleasant city, well known for its classic food and is the home of French country dishes such as cassoulet and confit de canard.
